Accomplishments

Marjorie has worked hard on City Council to increase economic opportunity, reliable public transportation options, and affordable housing. During her term Marjorie:

 

  • Voted to reserve $20 million in funding for the Eastland Yards redevelopment.
     

  • Voted to add $5 million to Corridors of Opportunity project enhancement which includes Central Ave. and Albemarle Rd., Corridors total now is $67+ million.
     

  • Voted to approve $4.2 million in funds to HOMES program that reduces home tax bills.
     

  • Voted to provide over $1 million to Charlotte Business Inclusion for minority business support and other programs.

 

Marjorie is getting results for our community.
